The BMM world has witnessed a phenomenal expansion in communication technology and media. BMM houses some of the best creative minds who will be the future actors, journalists, designers, add maker and film-makers\ director it seems that entire global community have been brought together into one unified world. And it is believedthat mass-communication, as a stream of study, and as a career, becomes so important and enviable. The bachelor level course allows one to have higher education in areas of mass media or mass communication. The same allow one to obtain lucrative career in any of the organization working in media communication.
The mission of our BMM department is to maintain the highest standards of academic excellence, by creating an environment that stimulates critical thinking and broadens understanding of the role and responsibilities of media professionals in a diverse society. It allow one to interact and make contacts with lot of famous personalities acting in different walks of lif . it offers prestigious job and package in media world.
Following are the objectives of the course:
Any candidate who had completed their intermediate class studies from any of the recognized boards is eligible for BMM course. The subject selected for study is not a restriction for pursuing the same. The students who have passed XII class with Science, Commerce or Arts are eligible to undergo the course. They should have obtained not less than 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
Our 2 IT lab is well equipped with latest PCs (50+), Projectors, networking and free internet facilities, to enable hands on experience of the concepts in IT.
Internet facility is available to the students whereby they can get information that is needed to prepare their projects and reports. It also helps them to gather up to date information about the latest topics in related subjects.
This facility is further used to give students hands on knowledge regarding different software’s that are used for professional purpose.
Guidance is provided to our students with regards to their career and social needs. We have also introduced a departmental counseling cell where teachers are in constant touch with students regarding any issues that they face.
Seminars, Training Programs on various aspects of IT, personality development, communication skills, and career opportunities are conducted. BMM students are taken for visits to Radio stations, to understand the practical aspect of recording and editing. They also visit newspaper houses, flim city etc .
Students are encouraged to take part in various co-curricular and extracurricular activities, competitions at college and inter-collegiate level like debate, essay writing, fashion competition, dance competition, drama, power point presentations etc.
It helps the faculty and parents to improvise the academic and personal performance of the students. A student report card is generated which displays following information
